Student Body President

Alexandra DeBus

(she/her)

This past year I had the pleasure of serving as your Executive Vice President. Throughout my term, I am proud to say we accomplished great feats such as blocking large increases in student fees, fostered transparent relationships with administration & student organizations, and followed through on student centered initiatives such as free feminine hygiene products in all academic buildings, accessibility to gender affirming care products, and working to cap increases for University health insurance. If elected, I plan to not only tackle key issues such as availability of campus housing and parking, resident living conditions, and students' demand for a fall break - but I plan to lead transparently and with integrity in order to enact real change which benefits all UMD students.

Executive Vice President

Reese Artero

(she/her)

I am running for the position of Executive Vice President because I am passionate about advocating for change and making a positive impact on my campus. Through my experience working with administrators to enact positive change for ROTC students, women on campus, and other underrepresented communities, I have gained a unique perspective on the issues facing our campus. My commitment to advocating for change and my experience in student leadership roles make me an ideal candidate for this position. Additionally, my Pacific Islander background brings a diverse perspective to the table, which is essential for creating a more inclusive and equitable campus community. By running for this position, I have the opportunity to make a real difference on my campus and inspire others to get involved in creating positive change.

Chief Financial Officer

Ryan Saunderson

(he/him)

As Deputy CFO this past year, I have strived to maximize the undergraduate student body's utility of the Student Activities Fee (SAF) and ease of the SGA Funding Process. I plan to build upon this work and continue to educate and foster relationships with student organizations in order to provide transparency, ensure equity, and properly execute responsible SAF allocation.
